Automated (internet) service delivery

Puur-IT is co-owner of an FttX network in Austria. For this network, I have designed, built and implemented a service delivery portal. Using this portal, Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) connected to this network, are able to request internet services for end customers and do a check of the service availability. The services provisioning is scheduled and, if required, field services will be requested to install a modem at the customers’ premises.

Configurations for network components and underlying services are prepared and sent to the correct devices and databases, this includes network switches and the modem at the customers’ house or office. Using the portal, a service provider can perform on-the-fly bandwidth changes to (live) services.

Version 2

About one year after the start of this portal, it became clear that due to the increasing volume a new version of this portal was required. For this portal I have split the front- and backend by dedicating Python3-Flask for the backend and using VueJS for the frontend.
